In 2019 Swoon released "Birth" as a 2 color screenprint on archival museum board as an edition of 175. This print showcases the first time the artist translated a hand painted wash directly to a piece of film, which was then burned directly to a screen creating the watercolor like blue wash background.

“I drew this image to bring the act of birthing into a place of everyday celebration. I wanted to use my gifts to participate in the power of collectively witnessing something so sacred. I adapted the drawing into a print edition when I realized how taboo images of pregnancy and birth have been throughout the history of western art. Behind anything that is silently forbidden there is an energy which has been locked away and repressed. I believe that our generation has the opportunity to release the birthing mother energy back into our culture in ways that help all of us come to life."
